I suspect that the night elf moonkin graphic updates may already be done, but just not yet in beta:
At blizzcon, at one of the booths they were showing off new action figures for wow.
One of them was a big night elf moonkin, and it looked the same as the current in-game form, but with much sharper details.
When the action figure for Garrosh was made, the new in-game model was used for reference.
Now with the moonkin hatchling preview, we can see that the night elf hatchling is very similar in terms of style to the original moonkin.
I believe that the night elf moonkin graphics were updated sometime ago, and that they are waiting on the moonkin for the other races to be completed, along with perhaps some kind of barbershop color options.
just my 2 cents =)
Interesting post, Only hope that you're right :)
You and me both! =D
I was hoping the hatchling would be a mini-preview of the updated form. It's still adorable though.
That would be great if it's true! I'm eager to see a more refined Moonkin form.

gear good enough for starter raids?
hi, i have the full blue pvp set which i know isnt ideal for raiding but ive seen much worse (non heroic blues / greens) on people successful in raids now. they may be being carried, i dont know.
from what ive counted up im missing ~800ish master / haste which is a big help but is it a deal breaker at this point in game to not be able to down content. i did the tol barard boss and had didnt run out of mana till about the 4.5 min mark which was ok because of the 5 min enrage timer. our dps on the other hand couldnt do it.
please check my armory and let me know. im changing my enchant back to heartsong i believe. my int/spirit is on par or a little more from the BiS blue set i seen for pre raiding.
any and all info is appreciated! ty in advance!
Are you hit capped when buffed out of curiosity? It says 15.5% right now, but that could easily increase. be aware of hitting that cap.
im sorry, im in moonkin spec now but i raid as resto
Alright frankly you need to visit http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/969937135
Your gearing isn't great, and if you're looking to do healing in raids I would look to going into heroics first to get PvE gear first, but what strikes me most is actually gems/enchants. Most people tend to ignore the socket bonuses. You should start getting rid of the resilience gems and put in all spirit gems, even losing out on the resilience socket bonuses that are worthless.
The 316 trinket needs replacing pronto, go to a dungeon and pick up a healer trinket. Wowhead search for trinkets above ilevel 333 and look for something appropriate.
edit: your spec for resto needs some work as well, the one point in balance of power seems useless, and some other things like that. the guide I mentioned above has info on that too.
yes, im a pvp'er. im not specced for pve. im not gemmed for pve. its all pvp and good for it. i didnt ask if i would be the best, i was asking if its good enough to get by. i dont like raiding and dont plan on doing it consistently, just maybe once a week with a semi pug for something to do while not pvp'ing

LIving Seed update idea!
So Living Seed currently is a 3 point talent that places a seed on the target in which a Swiftmend, Nourish, Healing Touch, or Regrowth crit on. The seed blooms and heals the target for 30% of the total heal when the affected character is next hit.
This often for me is mostly overhealing or not healing at all, because most of the time the tank is close to full life, and dps are often not being hit anymore once the heal is in place.
My idea is that it is still a 3 point talent that places a seed on the target in which a Swiftmend, Nourish, Healing Touch, or Regrowth crit on. The change is, is that instead of healing for 30% of the heal being healed all in one hit, it creates a HOT on the target which heals for 10% of the heal over 6 seconds and then blooms for 10% of the total heal once the duration is complete.
Whats the reason? Well with our mastery relying on a HOT to be on a target to be in affect this gives a another HOT in our arsenal for our mastery to be affected by, thus making our mastery more desired. Also, this makes crit a more desirable stat as well. This may also reduces the amount of times rejuvenation is casted. Plus, since this talent is linked to Efflorescence... Could make Living Seed a much more desirable talent.
Why another HOT? As of Cataclysm, the 21+ second HOT Regrowth placed on the target has been reduced to a 6 second HOT which does a small amount of healing. As I have read on the forms, regrowth is not used as often as it used to be. Doing this would would somewhat make up for the lack of HOTs we have.
Why reduce the total to healing to 20% rather than 30%? Well, now that a HOT is placed on your target, you healing is increased because of the new mastery we have. So it just about evens out.
Im open for other ideas.
If you say this is a good or bad idea, please explain why.
Anyways, I hope this great potential of a talent gets a update. :)

WoW things have changed - oldie/newb advice
Obviously gonna need new gear and wondering which instances to heal or is pvp quicker to upgrade gear through.
THen I'll just have to find hotbar places for the new spells.
I recommend using the Random Dungeon LFG tool. While leveling, you get a blue "of the xx" afterwards. Questing in general is good for gear.
If you're already 85, do the quests that reward item-level 325 or 333 gear. That will get you to the point of almost being ready for heroics.
PvP is alright, if you like it, but resilience is completely wasted, and instead of getting spirit + haste on your gear, you just get one of the two (or even worse, crit).
Thanks,
I left before haste was even a stat so I'm only 65 and thanks for the tip. Looks like the dungeon search feature involves autotransport which should be handy at the moment.
As is the ability to spec into two rolls with a built in equipment mod particularly since you can't mix spec until 31 points which being demotted from cap I no longer have.
quite a different game from when I left and a long to do list from aquiring glyph's on.

Druid or shammmyy??
I am starting to play agian and im not totally sure on what to pick.. im all about dps and i love pvp. someone help.
Warrior!
I'm leveling a druid right now, and frankly I'd say Shaman. They're simply a lot of fun. Druid Moonkin DPS is wonky at best. I'm really hating this new balance bar that makes DPS'ing just feel weird, not fun. Feral tanking is REALLY challenging right now, though it can be done. And I cannot speak for Cat Form dps, but I've never liked it myself.
But you'll be the judge. When Cataclysm hits, I'm going full-bore Goblin Shaman and not looking back.
It's really not challenging at all.
Druid or gtfo.
Well, if you had asked a month ago, i'd have said Druid - cause we're blowing crap up in BG's right now (feral especially). In a week, though, when people start the rush to 85, the pvp (at least at end-game) is a relative unknown.
I'm fond of my feral druid. Always have been. Fun, flexible, fast.
But that's just me. It just depends on your playstyle.
Druids are designed for indecisive people. Go that route.
I'll be right there with ya... ALways wanted a Shammy, and am looking forward to starting something new
Level both obv
Edit: Irrelevant
Warrior!
OH wait I said that already.
Oops
hmmmmm i think im going to go with drood.. i would love to be able to stealth.. charge. i can tank... dps and heal thatll be fun.
i kinda want to go with a shamy for the mail gear... but druid sounds really fun with flight form
what is better dps feral or shammy melee.. or druid boomkin vs elemental shammy
Druid: Caster/healer that can use stealth and is generally very slippery.
Shaman: Caster/healer that mitigates damage with good armor.
Druid: Has a knockback that can hit you from 40 yards away.
Shaman: Has a knockback that will send you 40 yards, if you're sitting in the wrong spot.
Druid: Excellent pre-emptive healer, has a lot of crowd control. Lacks, but is not weak in direct heals.
Shaman: More of a direct healer, but mediocre in pre-emptive healing, has decent crowd control. Dispel heals its target!
Druid: Will give you a series of bleed effects in the first five seconds of the fight that will be fatal, even at full health, if you do not have a way to heal.
Shaman: Can make an attacking army 30% scarier.
Druid: Loves waffles.
Shaman: Does not dislike waffles.
Druid: Can use gathering professions and spec swap in flight.
Shaman: Your hearthstone is practically always available.
imo : feral, ele.

Cata Resto
Anyone else having a blast healing the new instances and watching dps kill themselves?
I actually went oom on a few boss fights and had to blow innervate and tol. So much fun!
Since I have no idea what you're talking about, no?
So many people are still used to wrath. I warned the group.. I wouldn't heal you due to stupid damage. So if it AEs and you stand in it and die..your fault.
So many dead rogues...so little time

Thinking of druids....
So ive recently returned for Cata, and last time i played was before BC (Nilla i think its called) and i have a small problem.
Ive always run healers and tanks, and in that i mean Warriors, Priests and Shammies.
Currently im leveling this guy which is great fun, but im looking for an alt to break up the grind.
He needs to be a caster and have some healing versatility, and ive always admire dthe moonkin form (im a little weird, all my warrior friends say so).
Anyway, i know you guys will be biased but would i be better off rolling another shammy or just going for the druid? its only a lack of metal armour thats put me off in the past (i dont care much for cat dps my rogue got boring).
thanks guys.
Try druid, you can fill out all 4 roles so you can mix and match.
Can you really say you've always done something if you haven't done it in about 4 years <_< !?
Also, you got 8 characters slots on god knows how many servers there are now, so just try one out, can't hurt nothing to just go dabble around for a few hours. You can get to level 20 in about 2hrs or less with the new system.
Well, im not just oncluding WoW in that statement.
Ill roll a druid se how i go, and ive noticed the fast lvling too :O
