[:1]A nerf is a nerf simple as that. there is no reason to threaten a business that has 12 million other ppl playing them with your deletion of 1 account. With that being said, lots of people have been nerfed but plenty of classes have been buffed. i remember a time in wrath where i would literally laugh in arenas when a feral druid, rogue, or warrior attack me. Now all 3 can kill me. At the end of the day it is your time and your money do with it what you want, but going overbaord over 1 change here or there isnt logical. And i am still sad about resto, just adapted and moved on
probably because...
A) Removing root removal from shifting changes a game mechanic that _everyone_ (not just the people who play druids) has grown accustomed to since Vanilla 1.0. With the changes, feral goes from competitive to free-HK-to-any-ranged-with-a-root-or-fear.
B) Taking mobility away from a spec that requires it to be effective in any capacity, without having any kind of shift to the root removal into a cooldown or some other source, without any kind of major buff that would allow Feral to survive a full chain-cast root duration scenario. This change further's the idea that feral becomes a free-HK to any ranged with half a brain to root/fear/any-cc-that-isn't-poly.
C) Taking fear immunity for 15-20 sec off berzerk further reduces any chance we had against certain other classes/specs -- it's not like warlocks didn't have other methods of dealing with a berzerking feral. Again without any kind of give or take, just flat out removal of an aspect of the talent. Note that virtually every other melee spec retains some form of cooldown fear break at a minimum.
D) Taking damage out of bleeds (rake/rip) and putting it into straight damage (mangle/shred). Mind you, shred requires us to be behind, which requires mobility, but that's going pretty much out the window.
E) The realization that most of the QQ about how druids were overpowered came from low to mid tier arena. At the high tier arena, feral wasn't really that OP, and simply the bleed/direct damage change may have been enough. This goes completely against the perception of Blizz tuning things for the high end, instead catering to the mouthbreathing masses of people choosing to enter arena without a shred of resilience and crying that feral are too strong (step 1: get resilience. you really didn't see many high-end arena players worrying about feral, largely because resilience lowered the bleed damage so much.)
F) Having been treated to bait-and-switch at virtually every other expansion. BC; feral was deemed overpowered within the first 2 weeks, nerfed to the ground. Wrath, same thing. Cata, same thing. The only thing that's changed (really) is which classes the devs favor now (before with tigole/foror it was skewed toward warriors... now it seems more skewed toward mages).
G) Any other little thing that basically becomes a straw that breaks the camel's back when coupled with any of the above.
^^ This, well put Adramelk.
